London Short Film Showcase
The London Short Film Showcase (LSFS) is a local non-profit organization that works to celebrate, link, and promote the local film community and its players. On November 5-6, 2010, the Showcase returns to celebrate the achievements of our independent short film talents in London, and provides the public with an opportunity to share in the experience.
“Talent breeds talent. That’s why we find artists from the film community, put them in a room, and let the magic happen!”
The London Short Film Showcase was created in 2007 by Jason Clarke and Darryl Callcott. Jason and Darryl had a vision to create a showcase to allow filmmakers the opportunity to display their works through an alternative to traditional film festivals. Filmmaking is a form of art and entertainment, but it can also provide a lucrative career. The London Short Film Showcase strives to teach and promote that aspect of the film industry. Besides film viewing, the showcase includes a free networking night for artists, writers, professionals and businesses to meet and greet as well as a closing gala with screenings and awards.
“By design, the short film genre gives independent visionaries the freedom to truly explore their craft.”
Inspiring and celebrating short film by providing opportunities to connect, create and share.
We are excited to announce that the London Short Film Showcase, a non-profit organization in the Forest City has come on board as a official supporter of PARK(ing) Day London 2010.
Considering that one of the purposes of PARK(ing) Day is to put on display the creative ideas from Londoners it only seemed appropriate to join forces with the London Short Film Showcase who strives to help bring into the public eye the amazing creative talent that London (and the world) has to offer in terms of film.
Taking part in PARK(ing) Day by creating a film based PARK(ing) space the London Short Film Showcase will bring some creativity to the downtown core on Friday September 17th, 2010.
